From the Artist: "What I wanted to capture within this piece of work is a sense of parenthood that all mothers and fathers understand. It is the instinct to protect our young from the dangers of the world." - Andrew Hull This scene portrays a father or mother shielding their chick with a wing. The chick has seen something and wants to go and play. A downward gaze from the adult owl says "don't even think about it".
