PG Tips Tea dates back to 1930 when it was originally known as Pre-Gest Tea as it was, at that time, thought that tea aided digestion. It was soon abbreviated to PG by grocers, inspiring the company to adopt it as the official name and add 'tips'. We first saw the Chimps in the television advertisements in 1958 and, such was their popularity, that they continued to promote PG Tips until they were retired in 2002. Everyone had their favorites but perhaps the most famously remembered advertisement featured Ada with her classic "It's the taste!" catchphrase. In fact, the Chimp ads tracked many social trends and developments over the years and it was during their watch in the 1960s that PG Tips introduced the Tea Bag.

Each figure is hand made and decorated in the UK in Stoke-on-Trent, individually numbered and comes in a special gift box with a certificate providing historical background information. Limited Edition of 750.
