Bess is a special period portrait of a beautiful woman in a stunning pink dress, clasping a purple cloak around her shoulders. There’s plenty of detail to admire, such as the bodice she wears and the shoe peeping out from the bottom of the dress itself. The name Bess means ‘Consecrated to God’. This excellent Royal Doulton Miniature ladies figurine is from the Archives, handmade and hand-decorated in fine china, based on a piece originally designed by Leslie Harradine in the 1940s.
Miniature Ladies pay tribute to some of the most beloved Pretty Ladies from Royal Doulton’s archives..
