Arnold Bennett was an English novelist who believed that ordinary people had the potential to be the subject of interesting books. His most famous works are the Clayhanger trilogy and The Old Wives’ Tale. These books draw on his experience of life in the Potteries, known in his novels as “the Five Towns”. This series pays tribute to Bennett and his works.
Every year the Royal Doulton Visitor Centre in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent would display a favorite figurine for visitors to admire. The Visitor Centre series is a collection of some of those figurines.
