The Falstaff, Poacher and Rip Van Winkle character jug were adapted by Royal Doulton as liqueur containers for Bols liqueur for the bottling firm of W. Walklate Ltd. The small-size jugs were commissioned circa 1960 by W. Walklate, Ltd.
