The Lladro figurine “La Maja” (Spanish: “The Woman”) was designed by Juan Huerta. Finely hand-crafted with a glazed finish, this porcelain bust of a woman with her hair held by two roses was issued in 1969 and retired in 1985. The figurine has a white, gray, brown and pink colorway, with her hair painted in a multitude of subtle earth tones. Sculpted, painted, and finished by hand in Valencia, Spain.
