Myfanwy Jones HN39 – Royal Doulton Figurine

“Myfanwy Jones” (also recorded as “The Welsh Girl”) is a Royal Doulton figure designed by Ernest W. Light, and issued from 1914 to 1936. Hand painted in a striking red, black and purple colorway, it is modeled as a young woman from Wales, dressed in traditional cloak, blouse, floral dress, and capotain, a tall stovepipe-style hat worn by women as part of the Welsh national costume.
