Released in 1994, Disney’s The Lion King tells the tale of Simba, a young lion cub who struggles to find his place in nature’s “Circle of Life”. Incorrectly believing he is responsible for his father’s tragic death, Simba chooses to run away and is befriended by Pumbaa the warthog and Timon the meerkat. The newly formed threesome’s “no worries” attitude ends with Simba’s childhood friend, Nala, explaining how The Pride Lands are suffering and urges Simba to return and take his place as the rightful Lion King.
