Sherlock Holmes HN3639 (Sculpted) – from the Character Sculptures Series
All the quality and artistry for which Royal Doulton is renowned for has gone into the making of these cold cast character sculptures. Each of these figures were created at the Royal Doultons studios in England. Since cold casting does not require kiln firing, the modelers of these now discontinued figures were able to achieve extraordinary details, allowing a complexity of shape that other materials simply would not permit.
