Introduced in 1928, John Broad’s stylish stoneware statuette, “The Bather,” was made at Royal Doulton’s Lambeth Studio. The Art Nouveau-style beauty is shown crouching atop an orb with a lizard at one side, all mounted atop four frog feet. Variations of the figurines include blonde or brunette hair and different floral headbands.
