This Royal Doulton Sung Glazed Flambé “Stalking Tiger,” modeled by legendary Royal Doulton art director Charles Noke, was produced starting in 1950. Manufactured from techniques perfected over 500 years ago in Sung Dynasty China, Royal Doulton artisans produced striking, deep red porcelain glaze pieces, called flambé because of its resemblance to flames.
