Lord Kitchener – Wilkinson Toby

To the Toby Jug collector, the pinnacle of any collection is owning the original set of World War I Allied Commanders Tobys created by the Wilkinson Royal Pottery in Staffordshire, England. Lord Kitchener, British Secretary of War during the early years of the First World War, is depicted holding a jug inscribed “Bitter for the KAISER.” Originally produced in 1915, this Toby Jug is considered among the finest examples ever produced by an English ceramic company.
