Description

Cavalier D6114 (green hat, white ruff). Designed by Harry Fenton, issued 1940 – 1950. Size: 7″H (large)

The cavaliers were Royalist soldiers who fought for Charles I during the English Civil War. They became known for their gallantry and haughtiness, an attitude still described as “cavalier”.
