Royal Doulton has released three prestige figures in honor of their 200th anniversary. Each piece in this prestige collection is based on historical British icons from 1815 – the year Doulton was founded – and made even more special in that they are being recreated by an iconic British brand. This eclectic and historical group of figures celebrates the diversity of the Royal Doulton Company.
The Duke of Wellington, also known as the Iron Duke, conquered at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The Duke is portrayed riding Copenhagen, his favorite mount, on which he rode into the battle at Waterloo. This large scale figure has been modeled by Neil Welch and is strictly limited to a worldwide edition of only 50 pieces.
