The Frankenstein character first appeared in a 19th century book written by Mary Shelley. The Hollywood film of 1931 starring Boris Karloff as Frankenstein creating his “monster” on the electric operating table carried the legend to new heights. This jug was issued by Lawleys By Post in a limited edition of 2,500.
