George Washington (1732 – 1799), as commander-in chief of the American States, led the U.S. to victory in the War of Independence. In 1789 he became the first president of the United States, governing for two terms until 1797. King George III (1738 – 1820) ruled Great Britain from 1760 until his death. He led his country in the war against the American States, which he lost in 1776. This jug was issued in 1986 in a limited edition of 9,500.
