Neville Chamberlain was a British Conservative politician and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1937 to 1940. During World War II, Chamberlain was an important member of Winston Churchill’s War Cabinet. He had a key role in the formation of the Special Operations Executive, a British World War II organization that conducted warfare by means other than direct military engagement.
